Hi, I am Christina, a photojournalist with a longing to create stories about our local community and the people who make that community what it is. My photojournalism background extends over 20 years all across the state of North Carolina. My creative inspiration stems from the need to tell the rich histories of the small towns and the communities through the stories that has
Growing up in a small Eastern NC town showed me how much the community influences the overall growth and wellbeing of these towns. I learned that community is one of the biggest and important things in the longevity of a small town and the histories behind it. The need to give back to the community that helped in shaping me into the adult that I am today became evident when I began my Journey into the New Media Journalism program at Full Sail University.
Visually crafting these stories to create something the community with continue to gain knowledge and joy from is something I find as a documentarian that needs to be brought to light. Crafting these stories has allowed me to grow as a creative and as an individual. My goals are to continue to craft unique and community driven stories. I want you to feel that you are a part of each story, that you as a community member were a part of it.
As this journey begins and continues to grow, I look forward to bringing a much-needed relief from the every day struggles many are experiencing. If I could bring just one smile to your face as a part of the communities, I am bringing awareness to than my mission of bringing joy and giving back will be complete.
